The creation of two antimonuments within the project “You Betrayed the Party Just When You Should Have Helped It” achieves the goal of decentralizing historical memory by actively including the personal experience of visitors to the exhibition, as one of the possible ways of accepting the past. The concept of the antimonument involves the audience in the process of transmitting memory, where everyone individually, depending on their own interest, searches for information and answers and, building their own memory, becomes a transmitter of memory – a monument. By becoming active, participating in common space and time, each of us also takes responsibility for the future.
